Welcome to the KXEN Blog! We are excited to bring out this new channel of communication to our community.  We’ll be blogging about what we see in the predictive analytics industry as well as bringing you tips, tricks and updates on KXEN’s InfiniteInsight™ solution.  You can expect that most posts will be from the KXEN viewpoint, but our goal is not simply to make this another marketing channel for our products.  In that light, we welcome your comments, we just ask that you keep it factual and relevant.   We believe that data and analytics are becoming one of the key fundamental building blocks or “raw materials” for 21st century companies.  But we also think that the analytics industry needs to do a better job of making analytics more accessible and more useful to more companies (i.e. not just the Fortune 500) and to more people within a company (i.e. beyond just the PhDs).  So you’ll see a mixture of posts that range from business best practices to more product oriented how-to’s. Another theme we’ll be writing about is how to make the data scientist more productive.  One of the most talked about challenges in our field is the shortage of skilled resources and the massive increase in demand for data scientists.  I guess this is good news for our industry – clearly no job security issues here!   But if we take into account the need to make analytics more accessible to more companies, the industry is just not going to be able to churn out enough data scientists to keep up with the demand.  So we need to also make existing data scientists much more productive and efficient. And that’s what KXEN is all about.
