John Ball
Chief Executive Officer
John Ball brings 20 years of experience in enterprise software, deep expertise in business intelligence and CRM applications, and a proven track record of success driving rapid growth at highly innovative companies.
Prior to joining KXEN, Mr. Ball served in several executive roles at salesforce.com, the leading provider of SaaS applications. Most recently, John served as VP & General Manager, Analytics and Reporting Products, where he spearheaded salesforce.com's foray into CRM analytics and business intelligence. John also served as VP & General Manager, Service and Support Applications at salesforce.com, where he successfully grew the business to become the second largest and fastest growing product line at salesforce.com. Before salesforce.com, Ball was founder and CEO of Netonomy, the leading provider of customer self-service solutions for the telecommunications industry. Ball also held a number of executive roles at Business Objects, including General Manager, Web Products, where delivered to market the first 3 versions of WebIntelligence. Ball has a master's degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Ecole Supérieure de l'Electricité.
Marco Casalaina
VP of Product Management
Marco is vice president of product management at KXEN. He joins KXEN from salesforce.com, where he led product management efforts for the Service Cloud, the company's customer service and support solution and its second-largest and fastest-growing product. Prior to joining salesforce.com, Marco worked at Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Calico Commerce. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Cornell University.
Matthieu Chouard
SVP EMEA Field Operations
Matthieu is responsible for all field operations in EMEA. He brings twenty years of experience selling in the CRM, e-commerce, content management and database markets. Matthieu comes from Cameleon software, a leader in configuration solutions, where he was VP Worldwide Sales and drove 25% growth in annual revenues. Prior to that, Matthieu has held several senior management roles in enterprise software, including General Manager of Southern Europe at Planview, General Manager of France, Spain and Portugal at Open Text, Sales Director of Southern Europe at Netonomy, and Country Manager at Netscape France. Matthieu started his career at Sybase, selling into the telecommunications vertical. Matthieu holds a diploma in Architecture from the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris and a Masters in Economic Sciences.
Bruno Delahaye
SVP Worldwide Business Development
Bruno Delahaye is responsible for managing and developing strategic partnerships worldwide. Bruno brings extensive management and technical experience to our partner relationships with over 10 years of experience in providing high return on investment from Data Mining with partners in sectors like telecommunication, finance and retail.
Previously, Bruno was vice president of Continental Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America operations for KXEN, where he had the responsibility for sales, customer facing activities and marketing for EMEA.
Prior to working at KXEN, Bruno managed the Database Marketing Department and Data Mining Technology of Urban Science in London where he was responsible for analytics in Europe.
Mr. Delahaye earned an Executive MBA from HEC School of Management, a post-graduate degree (DEA) in Economics Methods from University EVE / ENSAE and a Masters in Quantitative Methods from Paris IX Dauphine University.
Xavier Haffreingue
SVP Corporate Operations
Xavier heads KXEN's Corporate Affairs and Services worldwide, bringing to the position a broad experience in all aspects of Software Services, Operations and Financial management, and a direct experience with venture capital.
He joins KXEN from Axway where he was VP Global Support Operations, delivering mission critical support to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, he was VP Self-Service Solutions at Comverse Technologies. Xavier joined Comverse through the acquisition of Netonomy, where he was both Responsible for Worldwide Finance & Administration for all Netonomy worldwide subsidiaries and Professional Services & Support, successfully delivering multi-million dollar projects across Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa. Before that he was with Business Objects then Sybase, ultimately running customer support for over 2500 customers in over 20 countries.
Erik Marcade
Founder and Chief Technical Officer
With over 17 years of experience in the neural network industry, Erik Marcade, founder and chief technical officer forKXEN, is responsible for software development and information technologies. Prior to founding KXEN, Mr. Marcade developed real-time software expertise at Cadence Design Systems, accountable for advancing real-time software systems as well as managing “system-on-a-chip” projects. Before joining Cadence, Mr. Marcade spearheaded a project to restructure the marketing database of the largest French automobile manufacturer for Atos, a leading European information technology services company.
In 1990, Mr. Marcade co-founded Mimetics, a French company that processes and sells development environment, optical character recognition (OCR) products and services using neural network technology.
Prior to Mimetics, Mr. Marcade joined Thomson-CSF Weapon System Division as a software engineer and project manager working on the application of artificial intelligence for projects in weapons allocation, target detection and tracking, geo-strategic assessment, and software quality control. He contributed to the creation of Thomson Research Laboratories in Palo Alto, CA (Pacific Rim Operation—PRO) as senior software engineer. There he collaborated with Stanford University on the automatic landing and flare system for Boeing, and Kestrel Institute, a non-profit computer science research organization. He returned to France to head Esprit projects on neural networks development.
Mr. Marcade holds an engineering degree from Ecole de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace, specializing in process control, signal processing, computer science, and artificial intelligence.
Andrew Savitz
VP Worldwide Marketing
Andrew is responsible for all aspects of marketing for the company and brings to KXEN more than 15 years of experience in the enterprise software business.
He joins KXEN from salesforce.com where he led marketing efforts for the Service Cloud, the company's customer service and support solution and its second-largest and fastest-growing product. Prior to joining salesforce.com, Andrew worked with such leading enterprise software vendors as PeopleSoft and webMethods. He was also a CRM analyst at Robertson Stephens and Goldman Sachs. Before that, Andrew was a consultant with Accenture, during which time he was a key contributor in the company's first Siebel CRM implementation and helped launch their CRM solutions practice.
